"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus" (ESSSP)

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" is a soil amendment that has been used by conventional growers in the United States for over 15 years.  The supply is limited to only one location in the world, a small western United States mountain range that is controlled by the Essential Soil Group with exclusive mining rights.  There is no place currently known that contains the same natural element combination that makes ESSSP the most unique and amazing product in soil enhancement.

In 2007, ESSSP was approved for use in Organic crop production under 7 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) part 205 National Organic Program. This approval has resulted in increasing mining operations, allowing more crop producers and new markets to benefit from the use of this incredible find.

Why is "Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus" (ESSSP) replacing all other soil amendments?

• Refined Sulfur can take a very long time to work in the soil. ESSSP is an active oxidizing state that works immediately.

• ESSSP saves water, improves quality and quantity.

• ESSSP contains Gypsum in a natural soluble state which provides both soluble Calcium and exchangeable Calcium to the soil which will enhance water penetration and increase cell-wall strength.

• pH reduction is immediate.  The applied water takes the pH reduction immediately and reduces the pH of the soil. Living plants perform best under pH conditions of 6.5.  If your water and soil are above this, then ESSSP is your only solution.

• When mixed with manure or other ammonia producing bio-solids, ESSSP immediately reduces the odor and emissions.  The Ammonia is converted to a solid and contained in the mix, mitigating ammonia gas emissions. The carbons are also converted to a solid form staying in the mix, mitigating CO2 emissions. The end result is an environmentally friendly fertilizer packed with nutrients. Physical Properties

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" is milled to a very fine to 1/8 inch minus particle size. It spreads easily using standard fertilizer spreaders. It weights approximately 63 pounds per cubic foot. The pH of the material as delivered is between 2.25 and 3.25. Follow outlined safety precautions.

Sulfur

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" has the complete spectrum in it. Elemental Sulfur (S) in a range from 3% to 35%. ThioSulfate forms from 5% to 90% (these are the active acid forms.). Sulfate (SO4) forms 10% to 70%. These active ranges are a result of the chemical breakdown of Elemental Sulfur(S) under the influence and activity of the Thiobacillus (soil microbes) with moisture and oxygen as impregnated during the milling process. This is an ongoing process of acidification as the S breakdown continues until it is oxidized to the SO4 element. In summary, this product contains over 85% of sulfur related amendment forms.

Gypsum

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" contains Gypsum (CASO4) in a range from 5% to 35%. Soluble Calcium will range from 3% to 10% depending on acidification of the Gypsum from the thiosulfates.

Potassium (K)

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" contains Potassium in three forms, Potassium Sulfate, Aluminum Potassium Sulfate [KAL (S04)2] and Potassium Silicate (from Feldspar). K ranges from 8% to 15% depending on blend from the mine plus acid influence on the element (K complex).

Aluminum

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" contains aluminum in the form of the Potassium Aluminum Sulfate. Aluminum Sulfate in itself is a soil acidifier. Aluminum is the third highest element found in the earth's soil (8% to 14%). Aluminum does not become available to plants until the soil pH falls to below five (5). The addition of 140 to 280 pounds of aluminum sulfate per acre foot of soil that already contains approximately 184,000 pounds of aluminum per acre foot will make a very insignificant change in structure.

Micro-nutrients

"Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" contains Zinc, Iron Manganese, Copper, Boron and Molybdenum. Nickel is also present in small amounts and considered the seventeenth essential element. Iron is the most abundant mineral with 1 to 2% as Iron Sulfate. The above nutrients are either in a sulfate form and/or in a silicate form. Sodium levels are very low at + or - .06%.

Crop Usage Application

Soil pH is the basis for application rates. Do not apply to soils with a pH of less than 6.0 with no lime content.

Soil pH of 6.3 to 6.8

Apply 500 to 800 pounds per treated acre as a maintenance and replacement program.

Soil pH of 6.8 to 7.3

Apply 800 to 1000 pounds treated acre for pH reduction and element replacement.

Soil pH of 7.3 to 7.7

Apply 1000 to 1500 pounds per treated acre for pH reduction and element replacement.

Soil pH of 7.8 to 8.9 and higher (alkali soil)

Apply 2000 to 3000 pounds per treated acre for pH reduction and plant growth.

Homeowner, Garden and Nursery

Apply (1) tablespoon to 1/4 cup per 4" to 6" potted plant. Apply 1/2 cup to 1 cup per 8" to 12" potted plant. Spread evenly over surface and water into plant or mix with soil contents of pot size then plant or seed.

Lawns and Flower Beds

Apply 3 - 5 pounds of "Essential Soil Sulfur Super Plus™" to 100sq/feet of surface or 30 to 50 pounds per 1000 sq/feet of surface.
